CONCERTS IN THE ROYAL PALACE OF BUDA Pure Passions 2-3 August 2019
On 2 and 3 August 2019 the most beautiful melodies by Imre Kálmán, Ferenc Lehár, Jenő Huszka, Pál Ábrahám, Johann Strauss, Giuseppe Verdi and Gaetano Donizetti will be played during the Pure Passions grandiose show held at the Lions’ Court of Buda Castle. As a special feature of this year’s gala, the traditional and modern elements of Hungarian operetta, folklore and classical music will come to life simultaneously on the stage. In this wonderful environment we can enjoy the excellent performance of soloists such as Mónika FISCHL, Barbara BORDÁS, Marika OSZVALD, Szilvi SZENDY, Annamari DANCS, Gergely BONCSÉR, Zsolt VADÁSZ, Ninh Duc Hoang LONG, Károly PELLER, Péter LAKI, as well as the special prize winners of the 11th International Operetta Singing Competition of Franz Lehár, Alexandra Faragó and Viktor Dénes. The perfect sound will be provided by the Orchestra of the Budapest Operetta Theatre conducted by the main music director of the theatre, Gyula Pfeiffer. The corps de ballet of the Operetta Theatre will also participate in the show, together with the amazing dancers of Dezső Fitos’s company for the first time this year, mixing the elements of the traditional folk dance with the tradition of the classical operetta.
